Google launches Google TV with Sony

Posted by on 19th July 2010

Google have partnered with Sony to change the way we all watch TV.

With the new exciting launch of Google TV you’ll be able to watch all your favourite channels, while surfing the web, and searching through millions of web videos.

The new hardware needed is a small set-top box which uses your existing TV and internet connection. The browser installed is chrome which has the ability to play back content from any web page. Android mobile phone users will be happy as they will have the ability to control Google TV products.

Many companies have tried in the past to stream online content to your TV without much success. Apple TV is still a consideration but at present is limited, you can’t install apps or view flash for instance.

We’re looking out for this interesting product launch.
